Portal 2 Game Review

When I started to play the original Portal, I was skeptical. The premise just does not seem very interesting for me. The only thing that convinced me to play was the recommendation of a friend who is normally very picky about their games – so I thought, if he wants, why not try?

In short, I am very glad I decided to play Portal. It is a puzzle game at heart, but it has such a compelling story and a great sense of humor that I found myself longing for more “tests” after I finished the game revolves around the most Thurs test chambers who, after a number of operations using the portal gun, you move on to the next room. If you saw the player, it is so: the transition from a fatal fall from one room to another.

So you would think that if Portal 2 was announced, I’d be happy. In fact, I was just the opposite. I was convinced that the designers would not be able to recreate another game portal and it works as perfect as the first did. I was wrong.

The configuration of the game is pretty much the same, but the script makes them feel brand new. I will not go into detail about how the first game is like the second, because it ruins the story, but even with the similarities, it still works. And you may think me stupid not to try the “story” to ruin a puzzle game – believe me, you’ll be happy, I said nothing.

Besides just use the portal gun, there are other elements added to the gameplay. Different rules to add different effects on the landscape, adding another layer to the puzzle. Inflatable gel blue, orange gel is super smooth and propel you forward at high speed and a white gel can be shot on any portal’s surface. I was really afraid that the white gel would make the game a little too hard, because sometimes the only reason why I have a riddle that was because I could not shoot a portal n ‘everywhere. My fears were unfounded, however, and Portal 2 has just the right amount of difficulty.

I have not had much time to experiment with cooperative play, but from what I’ve seen seems to be fun.

Overall, a perfect complement to the franchise portal. I certainly hope for third episode. Definitely worth playing.
