Crimson Gem Saga Review

A PSP game on a large scale for only a fraction of the price – it sounds pretty good, right? In addition, Crimson Gem Saga also facing the game that is based on a framework for turn-based RPG. It is in the App Store for some time now, but I recently had fun with him and I felt really worth sharing.

IOS platform offers a tremendous amount of fun applications to kill time with. But if you want something comparable to the current game console and the PC generation supply will be left with only a few games on the App Store. If you are looking for a title and you are in RPG turn, may have found the right game: Crimson Saga Gema (CGS) is a PSP port is well done and fits perfectly into this category. It has minor quirks here and there but nothing that could have affected the fun time spent with him.

And is already one of the points that, unlike most other games in the App Store: SGC is a long game. 30 to 40 hours can be spent on the first play through. And during those hours CGS is not only fun, but looks and sounds great too. Everything is handmade with great attention to detail. Almost every character comes with a detailed avatar appears in the dialogues that are more voices to the corresponding bits in the story. The animations and effects in combat are pleasing to the eye and not too long – which is important if you see the same animation, currently 400. In general, the presentation of this game is a real pleasure.

The story begins with a disappointment to Killian, the SMC main character. This is your day of graduation at Green Hill Academy and expects nothing less, but obtaining the best student – a goal that is not lost scholarships junior. Killian being ruined background to join the Order of Light – however, receives a letter from the director of Green Hill Academy, and before he knows it gets sort of caught in the search for powerful Gems Crimson.

Meat and all is undoubtedly the RPG combat system. And while CGS will not surprise you with an innovation on that front, your system turn-based combat provides some complexity, is very rewarding and most important: It’s a lot of fun. Each character has its own skill tree that will be released and updated. To improve your skills you need to find objects. To unlock new abilities, you must spend points earned in each battle. Treasure hunters will be rewarded to the campaign are powerful elements ever to equip your characters with artifacts and tools to give you an edge in battle. Sometimes fall on boss fights that are well organized and difficult – but not unfair.

Unfortunately, sometimes the game will remember that this is a PSP port. The menu system is a bit clunky and takes some getting used to – however, after 3 hours in the game, I managed to adapt and do not bother me more.

This game ends my recommendation to all based on the curve RGP and seek to “real” gaming experience on your iPhone, iPod or iPad. With a price of $ 4.99 is a bargain.

Oh, did I mention it’s published by Atlus? I guess that sounds a bell, with the Shin Megami Tensei is a series of his most famous.
